Spring is by far my favourite season. Maybe it’s because my birthday falls on April 3rd, or perhaps it’s because the flowers start to bloom and the birds start tweeting a little bit louder. There’s something about spring that makes me happy.
One of the things that I absolutely love about spring is the fashion. Sure, I enjoy a cosy jumper and snug pair of Uggs during the winter months. However, I always look forward to the pretty pastel shades and less bulky-looking clothing in the spring time.[/pipdig_padded_text]
One of my favourite things about spring fashion is that it’s the perfect time to rock some PINK! And boy did I take full advantage of this in today’s outfit where I played around with different textures – and plenty of pink!
I picked up this gorgeous velvet pink tee from New Look a few weeks ago for the bargain price of £8!! Annoyingly this is now out of stock – but I found a few alternatives in Forever 21 and ASOS – here and here which you might like.
I paired my velvet pink t-shirt with a pair of Topshop Jamie jeans in a black satin finish that are now in the sale for just £20! I love wearing these jeans as they fit just like regular Topshop Jamie jeans but add a little something special to any outfit thanks to the satin finish. When I bought these, I originally thought I’d probably save them for nights out or special occasions but as you can see they also look great as part of a more casual outfit.[/pipdig_padded_text]
Moving on to accessories, you may recognise my sunglasses and bag from some of my previous outfit posts. The Ray-Ban aviators in the classic gold frame/green lens combo are my oldest and most-worn pair of sunglasses. I’ve had them for almost 8 years now! The aviator shape never goes out of style.
On the other hand, my handbag is a Topshop purchase from last year (see similar here in different colours). It’s the perfect size as it’s large enough to hold everything in but not so big that it completely swamps me.
I decided to finish off this look with the Gucci black GG leather belt – which has the ability to transform literally any outfit into a more put-together, expensive-looking outfit. And to make this outfit extra spring-appropriate, I wore my new River Island Pink Slingback Loafers (similar here) which I feel complete the look perfectly![/pipdig_padded_text]
