I love the colder, winter months for pamper nights in. A hot bath complete with a big ol’ bath bomb, a scented candle and a good book are my three must-haves for the perfect winter night in! However, just because the weather’s starting to get warmer, this doesn’t mean that you need to press pause on the cosy nights in. Today I’ll be sharing some of my must-have products for the perfect spring pamper sesh!
Although I love a good bath during the autumn and winter, I prefer to stick to showers in the spring and summer. However, I try to make the most of my showers by pampering myself from top to toe. I normally start by washing my hair using some lovely, nourishing products such as L’Occitance’s organic shampoo. Because my hair tends to be quite dry, I follow this by using a deep, moisturising conditioner or hair treatment such as the L’Occitane Repairing Conditioner, which contains a blend of five essential oils that help to repair the hair.
Moving on to my body, no true pamper evening is complete without exfoliating my skin to get rid of all the dead skin cells and reveal the brighter and softer skin underneath. I’ve tried many body scrubs, however one of my favourites has to be the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush body scrub, which I mentioned in this post last summer. It smells of sugar and lime and leaves your body feeling heavenly! I then use a softening shower gel to lock in all the nourishment, such as the L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Bath & Shower which has one of my favourite scents from L’Occitane and leaves your skin delicately perfumed.
I must admit that once I’m out of the shower, I’m not always great at keeping my body moisturised, especially in the spring and summer! However, when I do decide to take proper care of my skin post-shower, I prefer to use products that quickly get absorbed into the skin. If I’m having a morning or afternoon shower, I like to go for a spray-on moisturiser, whilst in the evenings I love using a sleepy-scented body lotion that contains lavender.
If you’ve been a reader of my blog for some time, you will probably know just how much I love lavender. I find the scent so relaxing and love using anything lavender-scented before getting into bed – whether it’s a lavender hand cream or popping a few drops of lavender essential oil underneath my pillow.
What’s your favourite way of unwinding in spring?
