Steamcream Review + First Impressions

If there’s one thing I have really improved on this year, it’s my skincare routine. Perhaps it’s because I turned 25 in April, and I realised that I should probably take better care of my skin! A couple of months ago, I shared my complete summer skincare routine. However, with the change of season and colder months ahead, I have been on the lookout for some new products that I can add to my skincare regimen to keep any dry skin at bay.

I was recently kindly sent a 75ml tin of Steamcream – a product that I hadn’t heard of before, but one that intrigued me!

Steamcream is an award-winning natural moisturiser originating from Japan, and is packed with several skin-loving ingredients to deeply nourish the skin. Among these ingredients are Lavender (one of my all-time favourite skincare ingredients!), Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Rose Absolut, Chamomile, Jojoba Oil and Oats. Together, these create a gorgeous, rich moisturiser packed with anti-oxidants, vitamins and soothing ingredients with no unnecessary extras! The ingredients are brought together with a shot of steam, which is supposed to maximise the power of the all-natural ingredients in the product.

Steamcream is available in a 75ml tin in a range of different designs. I went for the ‘Kinai Lehua’ design, inspired by Hawaii, but there are so many gorgeous designs to choose from. The packaging is cute but compact, making it the perfect travel companion.

The great thing about Steamcream is that it can be used in many different ways and it’s suitable for sensitive skin. It can be used on the face, neck and body to hydrate and restore vitality to the skin. I have been trying this out on my face and I must say, I love the formula! The cream is rich yet lightweight, so a little goes a long way. The cream feels very soothing and it’s one of those products that my skin loves to drink up when it’s feeling dry and dehydrated.

Another thing that I love about this is its scent. I love it when skincare products contain lavender as it’s great for soothing the skin, and I find the scent so relaxing too. So it’s no surprise that I love the scent of Steamcream, which smells mostly of lavender (and very similar to Angels on Bare Skin by Lush if you’re familiar with that!). Because of the scent, this would also make a gorgeous body moisturiser before getting into bed in the evenings.

Overall, I have been very impressed by Steamcream and am so glad I got to try it – even though it is not something I would have normally picked up! At £13.95 for 75ml, this might not be the cheapest moisturiser available, but it’s multi-purpose use, scent and the fact that a little product goes a long way makes this a product I would definitely recommend!
