With the change of weather lately, my skin has been a bit of a nightmare! Following a summer of quite good skin, the change in season has unfortunately resulted in a number of skin breakouts! Because of this, I thought it was the perfect time to try out the Clarol Skin Flora Re-Balancing Serum.
The Clarol Skin Flora Re-Balancing Serum promises to fight acne by restoring the bacterial balance in the skin. The combination of increased use of sun protection on the face, greasiness and dehydration in the skin during the summer months can leave the skin’s flora out of sync and some research suggests that this may be the reason why so many of us suffer from skin-related problems as the weather changes.
Just like our intestines, our skin is home to both good and bad bacteria – those that protect the skin, and those that wreck havoc in the skin causing breakouts, redness and dryness. The Clarol Skin Flora Re-Balancing Serum works by restoring the bacterial balance in your skin quickly and gently. It contains MicroSilver, an anti-bacterial ingredient that attacks the bad bacteria in the skin, leaving the good skin flora to flourish.
Unlike most acne-fighting products, I have found that this product did not dry out my skin or leave it feeling even more sensitive than it did in the first place – something which I was very pleased about as my skin can get dry quite easily! Although this is a serum, I found that it had more of a light moisturiser sort of texture, however it worked very well underneath my everyday foundation. After using this consistently as part of my skincare routine, I found that any blemishes I had quickly started to dry out whilst leaving the rest of my skin feeling soft.
The Clarol Skin Flora Re-Balancing Serum is vegan and cruelty-free and is free from perfume, parabens, triclosan, MI and SLS, making it perfect for sensitive skin.
