Gone are the days when you would have to spend hours visiting different opticians for a new pair of prescription glasses – nowadays it’s so much easier (and cheaper) to order a pair of eyeglasses online!
Although I love shopping, trying on a pair of eyeglasses in a shop is one of my least favourite types of shopping! To me, it’s just a bit of an awkward experience – the awkwardness of the sales assistant standing right beside you and watching you while you try on several different pairs of glasses, the awkwardness when none of the glasses look good on you, and most of all, the awkwardness of not being able to see the glasses properly because, well, you need prescription glasses to be able to see them clearly in the first place!
And that’s where online glasses shops come in to save the day!
GlassesShop is a website which stocks a great variety of prescription glass and prescription sunglasses, at very reasonable prices. I’ve been after a new pair of brown tortoiseshell frames, and the Aquarius Rectangle model on the GlassesShop website instantly caught my eye. In order to help you decide whether a particular pair of glasses would suit your face shape, the website has a ‘try it on’ feature where you can upload a photo of yourself and see what the glasses would look like on you. The website also lists the dimensions of each pair of glasses so you can compare these to glasses that you already own.
Although this particular pair costs considerably less than one you would typically get from a high street optician, at just $19.95, the quality is surprisingly great and I’m pleased to say that these feel very sturdy too.
If you’re on the hunt for a new pair of prescription glasses or sunglasses, you can enjoy 50% off the range at GlassesShop.com by using the code GSHOT50 (non-affiliate). This code can be used throughout the site, except on glasses that are already discounted.
