I believe that if you’re going to invest in just one fashion accessory this summer, it should definitely be a good pair of high-quality sunglasses. Everyone knows just how important it is to protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays, but it is just as important – or even more so – to protect your eyes!
As a migraine sufferer I like to keep a pair of sunglasses in my handbag throughout the whole year – whether it’s a bright sunny day or a rainy day in winter, a pair of sunglasses can be an absolute life-saver (whilst looking stylish at the same time!). And investing in a good pair of sunglasses with UV protection is super important, as wearing sunglasses that do not offer UV protection can cause more damage to your eyes than not wearing any sunglasses at all!
Watchshop.com are most well known for stocking a great range of watches from brands such as Daniel Wellington, Michael Kors, Fossil and more. However, they recently added a new, exciting section to their website where they have a fantastic range of designer sunglasses, with some of my favourite brands including Ray-Ban, Versace, Storm and Emporio Armani. After having a browse on the website, I decided to go for the Emporio Armani EA4060 Sunglasses, which come in either a black or a brown colour. As you can see I went for the brown pair!
The Emporio Armani EA4060 Sunglasses are unlike any other sunglasses that I own. Firstly, because they’re Armani (!) and second, as they are quite oversized, with a slightly rounded square shape. These arrived well-packaged and protected in the post, and they also came with an Emporio Armani soft sunglasses case in grey. The design of the actual sunglasses is gorgeous with brown gradient tinted lenses – perfect for reading outside on sunny days – and a tortoise shell plastic frame. The Emporio Armani logo is also added in gold on the temple, and the left lens is also embossed with the written logo.
One thing that I absolutely love about these sunglasses is that they are polarized, which is great particularly if you suffer from glare. Polarized lenses have a filter which blocks certain wavelengths of light that cause glare, so they enhance contrast and allow for a greater depth of vision as opposed to wearing normal unpolarized sunglasses. I have compared these to the other sunglasses that I own and I can definitely notice the difference as these feel easier on my eyes when I’m outside in bright sunlight.
Additionally, although they are quite big compared to the other sunglasses that I own, they still feel very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
If you’re after a new pair of sunglasses for the summer, I’d highly recommend checking out Watchshop.com as apart form having a great range, they also have some great discounts on at the moment. In fact, these Emporio Armani EA4060 Sunglasses are currently available for £108 (RRP: £145).
What is your favourite brand of sunglasses?
