I’m not normally one to re-decorate my bedroom according to the season. However, as spring is my favourite season I decided to put a bit more of an effort into adding a touch of spring to my bedroom. Today I’ll be giving you an exclusive peek inside my bedroom and showing how you can put a little spring in yours – minimal effort involved!
Starting from my bedside table…[/pipdig_padded_text]
[pipdig_padded_text]I like to keep some of my favourite essentials on my bedside table – perfect for an impromptu pamper night. The first thing I’ve got is a gorgoeus Alice Caroline Eye Mask in a bright floral print from Amara. The eye mask is made using a beautiful Liberty of London print fabric which looks so pretty and literally screams spring! I never really wore an eye mask to bed up until last month, and since then this has quickly become one of my absolute good-night essentials.
I also like to keep a good book on my bedside table. If you read this post you will have seen that I recently got back into reading books. At the moment I’m reading ‘Sunshine Over Wallflower Cottage’ by Milly Johnson, who is one of my all-time favourite authors and one that I would highly recommend, especially if you love a good (non-cheesy) romance! I also like to keep a couple of magazines next to my bed for those evenings (or lazy mornings) when I fancy something a little lighter to read. Glamour Magazine is my fave![/pipdig_padded_text]
I absolutely love scented candles – especially when they’re lavender scented – so I recently got my hands on this lovely Orla Kiely Lavender Travel Candle, which smells absolutely divine! The candle comes in a glass jar with a classic Orla Kiely print, and it contains notes of lavender, lemon, geranium and mint, making my room smell just like a spring garden! I also love using lavender-based products before going to sleep (as you will see with my skincare essentials below), as I find the scent very relaxing.
This wouldn’t be a bedroom tour without having a look at the skincare products that I keep beside by bed to use before going to sleep at night. After cleansing my face, I normally spray some of the Lush Eau Roma Toner Water over my face. This contains lavender and rose water which soothes the skin and calms the mind. I then apply the Nuxe Nuxellence Idetox cream which detoxifies and recharges the skin while you sleep, followed by my all-time favourite moisturiser – and one that I have repurchased – the Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute Moisturising Cream. This moisturiser literally melts into the skin and smells amazing! It also moisturises my skin really well so I wake up with soft skin in the morning. I’ve also got a pot of Ted Baker Lip Balm which smells just like white chocolate.
As I suffer from dry hands, I also like to keep a pot of hand cream on my bedside table. At the moment I’m using the Lush Charity Pot. This is slightly richer than your average hand cream, so I like to apply this to my hands before going to bed and let it do its magic while I sleep.
Finally, I also keep the Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Organic Hand Sanitizer next to my bed as it works amazingly well as a relaxing pillow spray! [/pipdig_right]
[pipdig_padded_text]Without a doubt, the thing that makes my bedroom look super springy is this daisy chain decoration which I placed along the top of my bed. I got this for just under a fiver from a local store. I also added a few tiny spring animal decorations in between the daisies, including some cute bunnies and spring chicks, which I love![/pipdig_padded_text]
[pipdig_padded_text]Although the weather is starting to get warmer, I still cannot get enough of my UGG Scuffette Slippers in Espresso. These slippers are a bit more pricey than others, however their quality and comfort totally justifies the price. The slippers have a soft wooly lining so it literally feels like you are wearing little hugs on your feet! They are perfect for keeping your feet warm around the house at any time of year. Also, the sole is made with a cork-infused rubber which means they are able to withstand some light outdoor use.
What is your favourite way of adding a touch of spring to your home?
