Osmo is a brand I hadn’t previously heard of. However, as I’ve got quite dry hair I’m always eager to try out new hair products. I recently received a couple of products from Osmo and have been testing them out over the past month.
As I mentioned, my hair is quite dry – especially after getting it balayaged earlier this year. I find that conditioning masks can make a huge difference to the way my hair looks and feels and the Osmo Intensive Deep Repair Mask is no different. The product has been specially formulated for over stressed, heat traumatised and chemically abused hair – which is (unfortunately) a pretty accurate description of my hair. This contains Jojoba extracts, Patchouli Oil and Ylang Ylang, which together tame frizz, add shine and restore moisture to the hair without weighing it down. The mask has a rather thick consistency, so a little goes a long way, and it smells AMAZING. It is recommended to leave this on your hair for 3-5 minutes, and an additional 7-10 minutes in the case of severely damaged hair before rinsing it off. I found that leaving it for the maximum recommended time made the most impact on my hair, and left it feeling softer and more manageable.
The Osmo Dual Action Miracle Repair is a nourishing leave-in treatment which claims to repair the hair without weighing it down. It is recommended to use the product directly after shampooing and towel drying the hair, without having to use any additional conditioning products, and then leaving it in without rinsing. It contains Pataua Oil and a Keratin Complex to replenish lost moisture and repair the hair without weighing it down. I don’t tend to use leave-in treatments on their own as I find that they’re not usually enough to combat my very dry hair. However, I have been using this after conditioning and I have noticed a difference in my hair as it feels softer than it normally would after washing it. This also adds a lovely summery coconut scent to my hair which I absolutely love!
Have you tried any Osmo products before?
