My Spring Makeup & Hair Look | In Collaboration With Distorted Priorities

With Easter just around the corner, today’s blog post is all about my everyday spring makeup & hair look! This post is in collaboration with the lovely Deborah from Distorted Priorities

Deborah will be posting a Spring OOTD post over on her blog which you can check out by clicking here. You can also follow Deborah on Facebook and Instagram. Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect over on Deborah’s blog post:

This spring, I have been loving a fresh and glowy makeup look. I have recently incorporated a few new products to my everyday makeup routine, which I am really enjoying so far. Find out what products I have been using to create this makeup look below.

Starting from the base, I recently got my hands on the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, which has received so much praise online. I had high hopes for this and I’m pleased to say that it definitely delivered! The foundation offers medium coverage with a natural/satin finish that is perfect for covering any imperfections whilst keeping your skin looking natural. I have also been really enjoying the Milani Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer for hiding any dark circles underneath my eyes and covering any blemishes. Finally, I always powder my skin using the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, which I have used for years. It prevents your skin from looking too shiny whilst adding some coverage too – plus the product lasts for ages so you won’t need to repurchase this too often!

To add a bit of colour to my face I use the NARS Dual Intensity Blush in ‘Fervor’, which also adds a bit of a spring glow! If I want to add even more of a glow to my skin I use the Milani Illuminating Powder in ‘Hermosa Rose’, applying this on my cheeks and dusting it lightly across my face. I also used the Benefit Gimme Brow on my eyebrows to make them look fuller and set them in place.

In order to create a wearable bronze look on my eyes, I start by applying MAC All That Glitters – a shimmery champagne shade – across my entire eyelid, then blending MAC Woodwinked – a warm gold/bronze shade – into the outer crease of my eye and running it underneath my lower lash line. These two shades look super pretty when blended together! Next, I apply some liquid liner – at the moment I’m using the Topshop Magic Liner, which is very pigmented and pretty long lasting too. I then apply the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara or the Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curl Addict Mascara to add some length and volume to my lashes. For this particular look, I also applied some false lashes, which isn’t something I would normally wear! However, I have been testing them out for a blog series that I have planned for next week – so stay tuned!

To finish off the makeup look I have been reaching for the Max Factor Velvet Mattes Lipstick in ‘Nude’ – a beautiful creamy lipstick in a pink-nude shade.

As for my hair, I recently got blonde balayage put through it and I couldn’t be any happier with the colour! Plus, with balayage there’s no need to worry about getting your roots done regularly – hooray! I have mostly been wearing my hair down, as pictured above, or else in a half-up half-down style on days when it’s looking a bit puffy! I normally straighten my hair using my trusty GHD Platinum (a must-have if you’ve got curly hair) and it’s pretty much good to go!
