I never thought I’d be dedicating an entire blog post to a hand sanitizer. However, the Dr Bronner’s Lavender Organic Hand Sanitizer is much more than just a hand sanitizer and is most definitely a product that deserves more hype!
If you’ve read any of my previous posts, you’ll probably know just how much I love lavender. In fact, some of my all-time favourite beauty products all contain lavender – the Lush Twilight Bath Bomb and the L’Occitane Terre de Lumiere are both examples of lavender-based products that I love, and you can find out how I use lavender to help get a good night’s sleep here.
Dr Bronner’s Lavender Organic Hand Sanitizer is a natural, vegan hand sanitizer that instantly kills 99.9% of bacteria without all the chemicals and nasties that are normally found in hand sanitizers. In fact, the only ingredients contained in the product are Alcohol, Water, Glycerin and Lavender Oil, which leaves your hands smelling wonderful. Lavender Oil is renowned for its calming properties, as well as its ability to reduce headaches and aid sleep. It is also a great insect repellent and can be used on skin irritation and minor burns so it’s definitely a great product to keep in your handbag! I find this particularly helpful when I’m having an anxious day as it also doubles up as a stress relief spray!
As the product doesn’t contain any nasties, it can be used in a number of different ways. Apart from using it on your hands to kill any bacteria, you can also spray this over your body throughout the day to freshen up or help calm you down – making it an absolute essential when travelling, especially if you’re an anxious traveller! I have also been using this on my pillow before going to bed at night and find that a few spritzes on my pillow adds a lovely lavender scent and helps me drift off to sleep.
Best of all, a 59ml bottle costs just £4.49 and will last for ages
