I’m a big fan of L’Occitane for their bath and body products – their hand creams are just incredible! However, I had never tried any of their fragrances. Earlier this year, L’Occitane released the Terre de Lumiere Eau de Parfum – a fragrance that is inspired by the golden, magical hour of sunset.
Sunset is by far one of the most beautiful and relaxing things to watch – especially if you happen to be near a beach or somewhere equally scenic. I love the fact that the L’Occitane Terre de Lumiere Eau de Parfum is inspired by that magical moment, and you can definitely see that in the design of the bottle.
The fragrance itself has been designed to combine several different facets and notes to create a gorgeous, complex and rich scent that is reminiscent of walking through the fields of Provence – the home of L’Occitane – at sunset. The scent has a zesty and aromatic head with Bergamot, Ambrette Seed and Pink Pepper top notes, followed by beautiful Lavender Honey middle notes, and a sensual base of White Musk, Tonka Bean, Acacia Flower and Bitter Almond Essence.
I find this to be a really sophisticated floral scent with a slight (and beautiful) herby lavender scent when you first spritz this on. It is absolutely perfect for the spring and summer, and as the scent is quite strong and very long lasting, it’s a great one to wear before heading to work in the morning.
