When it comes to buying beauty products, it’s not always easy to find a one-stop shop that stocks everything from drugstore brands to more high end beauty products (that are also frequently on offer!). Today I’ll be sharing a few products I picked up from Fragrance Direct, including some makeup items as well as two gorgeous newly released fragrances.
Fragrance Direct is a great place to shop if you are looking to treat yourself to the latest fragrances, an old classic (that is likely to be on offer!) or even a few makeup bits, and offers delivery within the UK and overseas. The website stocks high-end brands including MAC, NARS, Clinique, Clarins Elizabeth Arden, YSL, and Gucci, as well as drugstore brands such as L’Oreal, Maybelline, Rimmel and more.
The first product I chose is the new Bulgari Rose Goldea Eau de Parfum (30ml). First of all, how stunning is the bottle!? This perfume was released in July 2016 and has a gorgeous feminine, floral scent, which I love wearing in spring. As the name would suggest, this has top notes of rose, as well as musk and pomegranate, middle notes of jasmine, peony and peach, with bottom notes of sandalwood and vanilla. This is a lovely spring scent for the daytime.
I’ve been dying to try out the YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum ever since it was released in 2014, and when I found out that the YSL Black Opium Floral Shock Eau de Parfum (30ml) was released at the start of the year, I knew I had to have it! This is described as a fresher, more floral version of the original YSL Black Opium scent, which is perfect for me as I absolutely love floral scents. This also smells a bit fruity thanks to its bergamot, pear and freesia top notes, its orange blossom and gardenia middle notes, and its amberwood, musk and coffee base notes. This makes a great evening scent for the spring and summer.
As I’ve previously mentioned on my blog, I am a big fan of Nuxe skincare products – especially the Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute Moisturiser. Fragrance Direct have a really good selection of Nuxe products on their website, so I decided to try out the Nuxe Clarifying Cream-Mask with Rose Petals (50ml). Face masks are a big part of my skincare routine and I use them around 2-3 times a week as I find that they can make a huge difference to my skin. I’ve tried a lot of face masks over the last few years, however I can honestly say that this one is up there in my top 3 face masks of all time! This gentle and purifying mask helps to balance the skin and shrink pores. It only needs to be left on the skin for 5-10 minutes, and once you rinse this off it leaves you with the softest skin ever. Look out for a full review coming soon!
Fragrance Direct have a great range of NARS products available, and another product that I have been dying to try out for years is the highly-coveted NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in ‘Deauville’ (30ml). This foundation promises to give you a medium-buildable coverage with a natural satin finish and leaves your skin feeling more hydrated as you use it. So far I have tried the foundation a few times and I must say that all the rave reviews this foundation receives are very well deserved! I’ll definitely be posting a full review of this foundation soon – so keep an eye out for that!
Another product that I picked up is the NARS Dual Intensity Blush in ‘Fervor’ (6g). I’ve heard great things about NARS blushers so I was very excited to pick this one up! This comes with two different shades – a peachy coral shade and a burgundy shade, both of which contain pearls to give your cheeks a healthy glow. These can be used wet or dry, depending on how intense you want the finish to be, and it comes it the classic, sleek NARS packaging which makes this perfect for travelling (especially when you like to have different blush options!).
No makeup haul is complete without a lipstick, and I decided to go for the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour Lipstick in ‘Desert Rose’ (3.8g). I’m a big fan of the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour formula – you can see my recent review of the shade ‘Sweet Nectar’ here. The formula is creamy, pigmented and moisturising – perfect for smoothing over dry lips. ‘Desert Rose’ is a beautiful everyday lipstick that is a nude-mauve shade, similar to MAC Brave, and it also contains SPF 15.
Finally, the last product I picked up was the Real Techniques Bold Metals 100 Arched Powder Brush. Most of the Real Techniques range is currently on offer on the Fragrance Direct website so it is definitely worth checking out the full range here. I already owned the original Real Techniques Powder Brush and have loved that for years. However, this brush from the Bold Metals collection is a really luxurious version of the original powder brush and is just such a pleasure to use! Not only goes it look gorgeous, but it is also extremely soft that you’ll want to sweep it across your face all day long!
