Rimmel is my go-to drugstore brand when it comes to foundations. One of my favourite ones is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, so I thought it was about time I gave it the place it truly deserved on my blog.
I have been a big fan of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation for almost 4 years now, yet for some reason I never wrote about this on my blog. Although I tend to reach for the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hr Nude Foundation during the summer months as it is super long-lasting and heat-defying, the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation is the one that I reach for when I want a more dewy finish in winter.
This foundation is described by Rimmel as an ‘anti-fatigue foundation’ that brightens and reawakens the skin for a healthy, radiant glow. It contains a Vitamin Moisturising complex with Vitamin C that claims to minimise premature skin ageing. This also contains SPF 15.
As my skin gets quite dry during the winter, I love using products such as the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, that have moisturising properties, to make my skin feel and look less dry. This gives a natural-looking medium coverage that is buildable and does not look cakey at all. It covers up any small blemishes pretty easily and leaves your skin looking healthy and dewy, which I love. However, I wouldn’t recommend going for this if you’ve got oily skin – the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hr Nude Foundation would be a much better option as this has a more satin finish.
I find that this foundation lasts pretty well on my skin, especially when I set it in place using the MAC Studio Fix Powder, and depending on what my skin is like that day, I don’t always need to use a concealer when I use this. Hooray!
