Applying eye makeup is my favourite part of my makeup routine. I love experimenting with new products and different colours – eye makeup can completely transform your look from day to night! Here are my current favourite eye makeup products:
Eyeliner – Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner / L’Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim
There’s no denying that felt tip liners have been a game changer in the makeup world. They have made achieving a winged liner look possible for pretty much everyone! My current favourite liquid liners are the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner (which costs just £2.50!) and the L’Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim. Both eyeliners are super easy and quick to apply, even if you’re normally a bit rubbish at applying liquid liner.
Mascara – Benefit They’re Real Mascara
The whole world’s been a fan of the Benefit They’re Real mascara for years and I can’t believe I’ve waited until this autumn to try it out! I love big, dramatic lashes and had high hopes for this mascara – fortunately this lived up to all my expectations, and more! It’s leaves me with super volumised, long lashes and is incredibly long-wearing. Read my full review here.
Eyeshadow – MAC All That Glitters / MAC Woodwinked / MAC Sable
I love playing around with different eyeshadow brands, however one that I have been reaching for on a daily basis recently is MAC. MAC Woodwinked was my first ever eyeshadow from MAC and is still one of my firm favourites. Woodwinked is a bronze-gold shade which has a slight duo-chrome effect. Apply this all over your eyelid and blend it out in the crease and it looks like you’ve got more than one eyeshadow on – it’s magical! MAC All That Glitters is a gorgeous champagne shade which looks lovely worn on all over the lid with some black liquid liner, or in the inner corners of the eyes as a highlight shade. Finally, MAC Sable is one of MAC’s most underrated eyeshadows, which I’ve dedicated a whole blog post to here.
Cream Eyeshadow – Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in ‘Jean’
Although I tend to reach for powder eyeshadows on most days, cream eyeshadows are great as an alternative when you’re in a rush – or even as a base for powder eyeshadows to help them last longer. The Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in ‘Jean’ is what I like to describe as MAC All That Glitters’ cream eyeshadow sister. This looks beautiful worn on its own with some black liquid liner and paired with a dramatic, bold lip. Although it is quite pricey at £22, it is incredibly pigmented so you only need to use the tiniest amount each time.
Brows – Benefit KA-Brow!
Up until recently, I was always a fan of using a matte brown eyeshadow or the Benefit Gimme Brow to fill in my brows – in fact I still use this when I’m going for a more natural, daytime look. However, the Benefit KA-Brow! is perfect for when you want to give your brows some more definition and shape. Not only does this come in really cool packaging, but the product itself is second to none. Check out my full review here.
