Although I enjoy wearing makeup all throughout the year, I always really get into makeup again once the weather cools down in autumn. This week I’ll be sharing my current autumn favourites from my makeup bags – starting from the base! I will also be sharing my favourite contour, eye and lip products throughout the next few days. Foundation – Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation
Although I’ve been trying out a few different foundations recently, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation is the one that I keep going back to. The foundation gives a buildable medium coverage, which looks and feels natural on the skin whilst concealing most blemishes and redness. If I’m having a particularly bad skin day, I use my concealer on top on any blemishes to fully conceal them. I find that this foundation doesn’t feel heavy on the skin yet it lasts well throughout the day. It also contains ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, giving you added skin benefits!
Concealer – Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
I have loved the Rimmel Wake Me Up soncealer for years now, yet strangely I don’t seem to mention it much on my blog! I guess concealer is one of those makeup products that I don’t usually get so excited about – although it is still an essential in my makeup bag. The Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer strikes the perfect balance between feeling super creamy and giving a decent amount of coverage, and it costs just over £5. It’s great for brightening any dark circles under your eyes, although I also use this on any blemishes to conceal them and it does a pretty good job at that too. An all-round favourite!
The one powder that I have been reaching for without fail is the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. Although this is quite pricey at £22, it is totally worth splashing out on and it also lasts for ages! As this is a powder plus foundation, it not only keeps your skin looking matte but it also adds some coverage, leaving you with airbrushed-looking skin. I normally use this over my foundation on a day-to-day basis, however you can also wear this on its own if you’re going for a light coverage. Check out my full review.
