Although I love taking care of my skin and trying out new skincare products all year round, I definitely get much more into my skincare routine during the colder months. My skin tends to get quite dry during winter and I find that choosing the right skincare products can really help combat this. Here is what's on my winter skincare wishlist this year - I'd love to know if you've tried any of these products and what you thought of them:
L'Occitane Shea Light Comforting Face Cream / L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Face CreamI am a huge fan of L'Occitane and from my experience, they really do create some of the best face cream and moisturiser products out there. I absolutely love their Shea Butter range - the Shea Butter hand cream is one of the best that I've ever tried - and I would love to try out some of their face products from this range, particularly the Shea Light Comforting Face Cream. This is a light, non-greasy moisturiser, perfect for normal to combination skin. For days when my skin needs a little extra, I've got the Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Face Cream on my wishlist.
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate
There's nothing quite like giving your skin a treat before going to bed, and the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate has received several beauty awards, as well as earning the support of lots of beauty bloggers and enthusiasts online. This nighttime facial oil contains Evening Primrose Oil to help repair the skin and boost radiance, Lavender Oil to soothe irritated skin and reduce redness, and Squalane, a signature ingredient in Kiehl's products, which helps to moisturise the skin, keeping it feeling soft and supple.
By Terry Baume de Rose / Nuxe Reve de Miele Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm
Lip balms are an absolute essential for me during the winter months as I always suffer from really dry lips. I am a big fan of the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant as it does an amazing job at softening the lips. However, I've recently had my eye on two other lip balms which I'd love to try out this winter. The first is the By Terry Baume de Rose - another beauty product which has received lots of rave reviews online. This luxurious lip balm has a delicate rose scent and promises to soothe and heal dry skin. I'd also love to try the Nuxe Reve de Miele Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm. This contains a combination of replenishing honey, shea butter and almond oils to repair chapped lips.
