It may still be October, but I’m all geared up and ready for Christmas! I’ve recently started eyeing up a few potential gifts I could get my family and friends and making a few mental Christmas-shopping notes. I always find it so much easier to choose presents for all the ladies in my life. Men though – not so simple!

Today I thought I would share some ideas for what you can get the (slightly older) men in your life.

If you’re choosing a present for someone in your life who you’re quite close to, and hence know a bit about their personal style then clothes can be a great option. This can be a smart shirt, elasticated waist trousers, or even something different like some fun Christmas PJs! ASOS have a great selection at this time of year – just search for ‘Christmas pyjamas’ in the men’s section.

Freshly Baked Christmas Goodies

If you enjoy baking, then some freshly baked Christmas cookies will definitely go down a treat! I’ve been really enjoying baking some of Tanya Burr’s cookies from her baking book – which I reviewed here. Just sprinkle some red, green and white confetti over whatever you’ve baked, or buy some Christmas-themed sprinkles to make it look extra Christmassy!

Novelty Gifts

The ‘novelty gifts’ section on most websites at this time of year are literally bursting with totally useless -but equally awesome – things! A Superman poncho, self-adhesive moustaches or a turkey-shaped beanie (yes, really) – all potential pressies which no one will be expecting!

Something Sentimental

Finally, I find that sentimental gifts always work well at Christmas time (or any other time for that matter). There are so many cute frames available on the high street, in places such as Urban Outfitters, ASOS and even New Look. Simply print off a cute photo of you together which will bring back great memories for years to come.
