As soon as I saw that Charlotte Tilbury had released a new, limited edition lipstick I got very (VERY) excited. And when I found out that the new lipstick shade was called ‘The Queen’, in homage to Queen Elizabeth II, I pretty much knew I had to have it in my life.
‘The Queen’ is gorgeous bright pink-red shade, described by Charlotte Tilbury as a “rich and rosy crown-jewel pink”. This is a great colour to wear all year round, and I know I will also be getting a lot of wear out of this throughout the autumn and winter months. As with all of Charlotte Tilbury’s lipsticks, this comes in the most beautiful rose gold tube, which looks and feels so luxurious.
‘The Queen’ is part of Charlotte’s Matte Revolution range of lipsticks, which is my all-time favourite matte lipstick formula. Although the lipsticks in this range are matte, they still feel comfortable and quite hydrating on the lips. They are not drying in the slightest and don’t highlight any dry patches on the lips, which is perfect for me as I tend to suffer from quite dry lips during the winter.
What makes me love this lipstick even more is just how long it lasts on the lips. This lasts through most of the day, including when you eat or drink – and when it does fade, it does so evenly and doesn’t leave any unsightly patches. Although this is quite pricey at £23, I believe you really get what you pay for in terms of quality and I would highly recommend this if you’re looking to treat yourself (or a friend!)
