The Scottish Highlands are just beautiful. I had wanted to visit this extremely photogenic part of the world for quite a few years, and a couple of months back we decided to go on a family holiday and explore the wonderful Scottish Highlands for ourselves. We started off in Edinburgh and drove up past Loch Lomund and Glen Coe to Fort William, a cute little town on the west of the Highlands. After spending a few nights based in Fort William, we then drove up past Fort Augustus to Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands (where I managed to sneak in some shopping). Then we headed back down to Edinburgh, stopping along in Aviemore, and the Queen’s View near Pitlochry (where the views were SO worth the detour).

The Scottish Highlands are such a beautiful location and I cannot wait to visit again! Until then, I hope you enjoy some of the photos I took on my trip!

PS – I was SO happy when we spotted some Highland Cows!
