It’s Glossybox’s 5th birthday this month, and to celebrate this Glossybox have collaborated with fashion brand Rae Feather on this month’s beauty box. Glossybox is one of the most hyped up monthly subscription boxes among beauty bloggers, so I was very excited to receive my first box and see what was inside!

Once I opened the box I was pleased to see that it contained 5 items in total, including 4 beauty products and a gorgeous pouch designed by Rae Feather.

Makeup Academy Hall of Fame Eyeshadow Palette

The first product is the MUA Hall of Fame Eyeshadow Palette. I was quite excited to find this in my box as MUA eyeshadow palettes have received a lot of praise online. The Hall of Fame palette contains 12 of the most popular shades from MUA and looks like the type of palette which I would choose to pick up myself. The palette includes neutral and golden shades, perfect for daytime looks, as well as a deep bronze and shimmery black shade, ideal for creating smokey eyes.

Spa to You Deep Pore Facial Cleansing Brush

Although I’ve always found the concept interesting, I’ve never actually owned a facial cleansing brush before. Cleansing brushes are supposed to help cleanse your skin better by gently exfoliating the skin. I’m looking forward to giving this a try and will definitely report back if I like it!

Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion

Cowshed is another brand that I’ve been meaning to try for ages but I never got around to doing so. The Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion (I just love the name) contains Lemongrass, Ginger and Rosemary Essential Oils. To me, this smells exactly like a refreshing cup of lemon and ginger tea which I rather like. I’m looking forward to trying this and seeing whether Cowshed products are really as good as they sound!

Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask

The final beauty product in this month’s Glossybox is a miniature Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask – the full size product actually costs £59! I love face masks so I’m always happy to try out a new one. This particular face mask claims to refine pores, brighten and soothe the skin, as well as keeping your skin feeling hydrated and looking plump. I can’t wait to try this one out and see if it would be worth the price of the full size bottle!

Rae Feather Pouch

The final product in the August 2016 Glossybox is a pouch designed by Rae Feather. The pouch feels very well-made, and although it’s too small to be used as a travel makeup bag, this will come in handy for keeping a lipstick and powder in my handbag for touch-ups throughout the day.

You can sign up for Glossybox here for £10 a month.
