If you’ve been following any of my previous OOTD posts, you may have noticed that I love adding a pop of colour to my outfits. However, one colour I wouldn’t normally wear is bright yellow. I usually stay clear of yellow shades as I always thought they looked way more flattering on a tan, whereas I’m quite fair all year round.

I was recently browsing the Dorothy Perkins website and came across this beautiful top with a Peter Pan collar and lace detailing on the sleeves. I’m a huge fan of Peter Pan collars, and am instantly drawn to anything with a pretty collar on. This, in addition to the cute lace sleeves made this top an absolute winner in my eyes. The top comes in a really flattering yellow-orange colour which I was very pleased to discover complements my skin tone quite nicely.  It’s such a bright, happy colour and a great way of adding a pop of colour to your outfit. The top is currently in the sale for just £12 and is also available in black. Link here.

I decided to style the top with this pair of blue skinny jeans, also from Dorothy Perkins. I’d never tried any jeans from Dorothy Perkins, however I really love the style and fit of these! The jeans feel like really good quality and as they are quite thick, they will be perfect for the autumn and winter. These are also currently in the sale for £15 – I’d highly recommend grabbing a pair before they run out. Link here.
