Nuxe is a brand which I’d heard a lot about, however I hadn’t tried the products out for myself until earlier this year. Nuxe is a luxury French beauty brand with an amazing skincare range. The products contain natural active ingredients which promise to treat your skin and improve its texture from within.
The Creme Fraiche de Beaute Moisturiser is described as a 24 hour soothing and hydrating day cream. It contains plant milks and white blossom to quench dehydrated skin by reinforcing the skin’s natural water reserves. It claims to soothe and reduce the discomfort of dry, sensitive skin. As my skin can react quite sensitively to some moisturisers and skincare products, I couldn’t wait to see whether this lived up to its claims.
From the moment I first used this moisturiser, I knew it was going to be pretty amazing – and 2 months on I still believe it is. The first thing which really impressed me was its texture – it feels so fresh and soothing, and it literally melts into your skin once it has been applied. Unlike most other moisturisers I have tried, this doesn’t make your skin feel greasy at all, yet it still feels like it’s working hard to put the moisture back into your skin.
The Creme Fraiche de Beaute Moisturiser also smells amazing – summery and floral. Although I don’t normally like my skincare products to be scented, this is an exception as it’s such a lovely, fresh scent which I find quite relaxing. I also find that although it is scented, the product has not caused any sort of reaction on my sensitive skin. Instead, it feels incredibly soothing once it is applied. This is just one of those products in my skincare routine which makes me really enjoy treating my skin as it’s just such a pleasure to use.
The Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute Moisturiser is available from John Lewis.
