My big, frizzy hair is something which I’ve battled with ever since I can remember. I was pretty much known for my big cloud of blonde curly hair at primary school and as you can imagine, I’ve tried pretty much every single hair care brand on offer throughout my 24 years of existence – each one leaving me with a slightly improved version of my big hair, but nothing quite so dramatic which left my hair looking and feeling super healthy and renewed.
Last month I was kindly sent a few products from the Living Proof hair care range available at John Lewis. Although I’d never previously heard of the brand, I did some research and came to expect very good things from the products. The brand is formulated by world class biotech scientists and beauty experts and therefore, there is a lot of thought and science put into every single product. And as I recently ombred my hair using bleach, I knew that I would be really testing out the products to their full potential!
The Timeless Pre-Shampoo Treatment aims to prevent, correct and repair any signs of ageing on your hair. It claims to reduce hair breakages by 85% after one use, helps to enhance the colour of your hair by protecting it from UV rays and helps to maintain hair density, which can diminish with age. You can apply this just 5 minutes before shampooing your hair, or overnight if your hair needs a really good treat.
The Restore Shampoo & Conditioner range was developed especially for dry, damaged hair. The products contain the Living Proof patented Healthy Hair Molecule in order to restore moisture, repair damaged hair cuticles and repel dirt and oil so you can shampoo and style your hair less often, thereby helping to restore your hair.
Whilst I have spent my whole life using hair products designed to improve the condition of ‘dry, damaged hair’, it’s not until I tried the Living Proof Restore Shampoo & Conditioner that I actually noticed a huge, huge difference. These two products, combined with the Pre-Shampoo Treatment have completely transformed my hair and other people have noticed that my hair has been looking a lot better lately too!
Although the Living Proof range is quite pricey in comparison to other hair care brands, it is completely worth splashing out on. I normally use the products around once a week and I will definitely be repurchasing the products when I run out, as nothing I ever tried has improved the condition of my hair so drastically – and just after having it bleached too!
