Some people blog purely as a hobby, whilst other people blog as their full-time job – and many others consider their blog as a part-time hobby / part-time business.  Whichever one you consider your blog to be, most people generally want the same thing, and that is to grow their blog and reach out to more people (although again, not everybody is bothered about this!).  

I was recently sent a copy of The Bluffer’s Guide to Your Own Business – a fun little handbook with all the basic information you need to know about how to start or grow your own business.  The Bluffer’s Guide book series is a collection of pocket-sized books on a variety of subjects, each one written by an expert in the field.  

Just like when I started reading The Bluffer’s Guide to Social Media, I was instantly gripped with this one.  The book is written in an easy-to-read style which you can literally just pick up and read wherever you are – no unnecessarily long words, no trying-to-sound-clever, just a really fun, easy to read book with plenty of useful information.

The book covers everything you need to know, including tips on how to grow a business (which can be applied to blogging), how to create an image for and market your business, as well as how companies such as ASOS, Cambridge Satchels and St Tropez first started – a section which I found particularly interesting!

This is a book I’d highly recommend picking up if you’re into light reads filled with useful tips, inspiration and lots of funny bits!
