John Lewis is one of my go-to stores when it comes to beauty products, both online and in-store.  I find that John Lewis has a fantastic selection of brands available and their price match service means there are often good offers on my favourite beauty products.

I was recently sent a selection of beauty products which are available at John Lewis, including brands which I hadn’t previously tried such as Rodial, Nuxe and Living Proof.

Rodial is a brand whose products have always intrigued me.  The brand produces high performance skincare products using innovative ingredients and has an extensive celebrity following by people such as Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Emma Stone.

The Snake Booster Oil is a concentrated facial oil that targets expression lines as well as wrinkles.  It contains Syn-ake Dipeptide, an ingredient which mimics the effect of the Temple Snake’s venom to give a mild freeze effect to the skin and helps to smooth and firm the skin.

The Bee Venom Night Gel is an advanced performance night moisturiser which helps to improve the texture and appearance of uneven skin.  The product contains Vitamin C and Bee Venom which help to improve brighten the skin and achieve a more healthy and youthful appearance.

I will be posting full reviews for both of these products in the near future, so watch this space.

Nuxe is a French beauty brand which brings together nature and luxury skincare.  The products contain natural active ingredients which promise to treat and improve the texture of your skin.

The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is one of Nuxe’s bestselling products.  This is a nourishing dry oil which can be used on the face, body and hair.  It is the leading beauty oil in France and is made using six precious oils; Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borage, Almond, Camellia and St John’s Wart.  I love using dry oils on my face and hair as I find they can really make a difference in terms of moisturising and softening the skin and hair so I can’t wait to see what this one’s like.

The Nuxe Creme Fraiche de Beaute is an intensive moisturiser for dry, sensitive skin.  The product is described as a “hydrating, melting cream” which contains a blend of Plant Milks and White Blossom to quench thirsty skin.  I love using rich moisturisers like this as part of my night time routine and will be posting a full review of this soon.

The Nuxe Nuxellence Idetox is a detoxifying, anti-ageing cream which is designed to be used at night to recharge the skin and detoxify skin cells ready for the next day.  This multi-award winning product from Nuxe claims to revive the complexion and help the skin look super fresh and radiant the next day.

Caudalie is French skincare brand which I have tried, tested and loved in the past.  The brand focuses on using natural, organic ingredients in their products and don’t use any Parabens, Mineral Oils or Animal-Derived Raw Ingredients.

The first product I was sent was the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet.  This moisturiser has been raved about by many bloggers and vloggers throughout the last few months and I’m a huge fan of this too.  The Moisturising Sorbet is a light moisturiser which is easily absorbed and is absolutely perfect for summer.  The anti-oxidant rich formulation is great for calming and soothing sensitive skin whilst strengthening the skin from within and making it feel softer. This is fast becoming a staple in my skincare routine.

The second product I received is one which I knew I would love as soon as I read the name – Caudalie Organic Grape Water Mist.  The product contains grape water and grape juice, and is enriched with mineral salts which together create a refreshing mist that soothes, moisturises and refreshes the skin.  I’ve used this both on clean skin as a toner, as well as over makeup and it works well either way.  As the mist is so fine, it’s a great way of refreshing your skin on warm days without ruining your makeup.

Living Proof

Living Proof is a hair care brand which I hadn’t heard much about until now – and I really wish I’d heard about the brand a lot sooner!  The brand was founded by world-class biotech scientists and beauty experts, who together created a beauty brand with tons of scientific backing.

The Living Proof Timeless Pre-Shampoo Treatment helps to prevent and correct any signs of ageing in the hair.  It claims to to reduce breakages by 85% after the first use as well as keeping the colour of your hair looking vibrant and enhanced.  The Pre-Shampoo Treatment can be applied to dry hair 5 minutes before shampooing, or even the night before.

The Living Proof Restore Shampoo and Living Proof Restore Conditioner are specifically formulated for dry, damaged hair. The products contain the brand’s patented Healthy Hair Molecule to restore damaged hair cuticles, restore moisture levels to that of healthy hair and repel dirt and oil to allow you to wash your hair less often.  The Sulfate-free formula of the products means that it’s safe to use on coloured or chemically-treated hair.

I have tested out these products from Living Proof range and I can say that although the products are quite pricey in comparison to other hair care brands I have tried, they are 100% worth the price. After using the products just once I noticed a huge difference in how healthy my hair looked and felt.  Not only has my hair felt much softer, but it was also noticeably more shiny – and that’s just one week after bleaching it!  I even got complimented on how healthy my hair looked by other people, which proves just how effective the products are.

Have you tried out any of these brands? I’d love to know what your favourite products are!
