I’m a tea person.  Whether I’m feeling stressed out, tired or simply fancy something sweet I often turn to a nice cup of tea, whether that’s a regular cup of English Breakfast or a herbal tea.  I recently came across a blog post by Poppy Deyes where Poppy wrote about her favourite types of tea for when she’s in different moods, which inspired me to write this post.

As you probably know, different types of tea claim to have different benefits, so today I thought I would write about the different types of tea which I turn to when I’m in need of a little pick-me-up or some chill-out time.

Morning Pick-Me-Up: Bluebird Tea Company Morning Kick

The Bluebird Tea Company is by far one of my favourite brands when it comes to tea.  They produce some of the most unique, amazing sounding – and tasting – teas out there, and they deliver worldwide so you can get your hands on their luxury teas wherever you are in the world! Morning Kick is an energy-boosting lemon and ginger tea which I have recently fallen in love with.  I must admit, I didn’t think I was a lemon-and-ginger type of person, however I picked up a sample size packet of this tea just to try it out and I would highly recommend!  I love having this either first thing in the morning or in the afternoon when I’m starting to feel tired.  Lemon and ginger tea is also great for soothing the stomach and boosting your immune system!

Afternoon Sweet-Treat: Twinings Strawberry & Raspberry

I’ve got such a sweet tooth, and if I’m not careful I can easily find myself munching on Maltesers or gummy sweets all day long.  However, I recently came across the Twinings Strawberry & Raspberry tea, which tastes absolutely AH-MA-ZING!  This juicy, fruity infusion tastes exactly like fruity sweets, except it’s made out of natural ingredients and is so much better for you.  I would highly recommend this if you’ve got a sweet tooth like me, or you simply like berries!

Chocolate Cravings: Bluebird Tea Company Easter Egg Nests

I’m a self-confessed chocoholic, so I love finding healthier alternatives to munching on a packet of Minstrels, which still satisfy my chocolate cravings.  As I mentioned, the Bluebird Tea Company have a fantastic range of unique tea blends, and this includes ones with a chocolatey taste!  The Easter Egg Nests tea is a delicious black tea with a chocolatey twist.  This limited-edition tea also contains toasted rice as well as marshmallows, so it does actually taste very much like easter egg nests – enough to curb any chocolate cravings!

Feeling Meh: Lipton Peppermint Tea

I’ve been a huge fan of peppermint tea for a few years now, and I reach for it quite regularly. The benefits that have been associated with peppermint tea are countless!  Feeling stressed? Peppermint tea! Feeling bloated? Peppermint tea!  Got a sore throat? Peppermint tea with a teaspoon of honey is the answer!  I’ve tried several brands of peppermint tea throughout the years, however the one I always go back to is the Lipton Peppermint Tea – it’s just so refreshing and tastes amazing!

Evening Chill-Out: Twinings Chamomile & Spearmint

Nothing quite beats a cup of chamomile tea when you need something to help you wind down and relax before getting into bed.  The soothing blend of Twinings Chamomile & Spearmint tea is one of my favourite evening teas as it combines the calming benefits of chamomile tea with the stomach-soothing and hormone balancing benefits of spearmint tea – plus is tastes great!  This is one I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for something to help you relax in the evenings.

What’s your favourite type of tea?  I’d love some recommendations![/pipdig_padded_text]
