Out of all the items in my makeup collection, setting powders are the one thing which I don’t tend to switch up. I previously spoke about my love for the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, which is one of my all-time favourite powders. It’s the one I have been reaching for on a daily basis throughout the last year whenever I want my makeup to last all day, as well as to get rid of any shine.
However, as my skin has been quite dry lately, I wanted something which would add a subtle glow to my skin. So I decided to get my hands on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light. This is a beautiful champagne-pearl setting powder and I find this shade to complement my fair skin tone perfectly. The powder adds a luminous glow to the skin whilst also setting your makeup in place and helping it last longer. I also love how it’s virtually impossible to get that ‘flat’ look you can sometimes get with matte powders.
The one thing I did notice about this setting powder as opposed to the MAC Studio Fix is that this one needs a much lighter hand, so you only need the smallest amount of this powder. However, I’m absolutely fine with this as it means this powder should last for ages (and helps to justify the hefty price tag!)
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder is available for £38 from John Lewis.
