One of the things I love about makeup is how it allows you to enhance what you've already got. I've always enjoyed experimenting with different makeup to find what suits my complexion, and especially which eyeshadow shades brings out the colour of my eyes colour the most. So with that in mind I thought I would share my favourite makeup for green eyes in a mini series of blog posts - starting with this gorgeous eyeshadow from MAC!
Warm eyeshadow shades with red undertones can really make green eyes pop, whilst gold shades can make your eyes appear brighter. I recently got my hands on MAC Amber Lights after lusting over the shade for what feels like forever, and I am so glad I did. Amber Lights is described by MAC as a peachy-brown with shimmer, however I definitely see this as more of a shimmery copper-gold shade.
In order to create this look I applied Amber Lights all over the eyelid and blended it out using a fluffy brush. I also added some of the eyeshadow along the lower lash line to add some subtle definition. I then applied MAC All That Glitters on the inner corner of the eye to add some brightness, and completed the look with a dash of liquid liner and lots of mascara.
This makeup look is simple, quick, and perfect for the spring/summer. I know I will definitely be reaching for Amber Lights a lot throughout the next few months! What do you think of this makeup look?
