MAC SABLE | WHY IT DESERVES WAY MORE RECOGNITION

MAC Sable – one of my favourite MAC eyeshadows, yet one that receives nowhere near as much attention as it deserves!  Sable is described by MAC as a “gold-plum with bronze pearl”, an interesting shade which I would describe as Satin Taupe’s warm-toned sister.  Whilst both eyeshadows are taupe-based, Satin Taupe leans towards the cooler side, with a purple undertone and silver shimmer. Meanwhile, Sable is a beautiful, warm shade with a red undertone and bronze shimmer.

Having green eyes, I find that the red undertones of MAC Sable really make my eyes pop.  I normally wear Sable blended out on its own with a dash of black liquid liner on my upper lash line, or simply with some mascara for a natural daytime look.  Whilst it is shimmery, it’s not overly glittery so it’s great if you’re going for a more natural look.  Having said that, this is one of the most versatile shades from MAC which I own and looks gorgeous blended with a gold shade such as MAC Woodwinked or a plum shade and it even works well if you’re going for a smokey eye.

As with all the MAC eyeshadows I have tried so far, Sable has amazing pigmentation and blends out really easily.  I would highly recommend giving this a swatch next time you’re at a MAC counter!
