During this last year I feel like I’ve got much more into my skincare and generally taking good care of my skin. Apart from making an effort to wear SPF on my face more regularly, I have also been making sure to keep my face well moisturised. Finding a moisturiser which my skin loves hasn’t been easy as my skin is quite sensitive and most moisturisers tend to break me out. I’m a big fan of the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, however, I wanted to find a more affordable drugstore option too.
On a recent trip to Boots I came across the ‘Yes To’ skincare range, which has been raved about by so many bloggers and vloggers online! After browsing through the range, I decided to pick up the Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream and find out what it’s like. (Hint: I featured this in my February Favourites!)
The Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream promises to leave you with soft, firm skin and a natural healthy glow. The Day Cream also comes in a formula containing SPF15, but I decided to stick to the normal formula this time. The cream is made out of 95% natural ingredients, contains no Parabens, and best of all, the product is also cruelty-free!
The Yes To Carrots range is targeted at normal to dry skin, however also in the ‘Yes To’ range are ‘Yes To Cucumbers’ for sensitive skin, ‘Yes To Tomatoes’ for acne-prone skin and more! I love how you get to pick your own ‘ingredient’ depending on your skin type. I tend to suffer from dry skin around this time of year, with the cold weather outside and the heating on indoors, so I thought that the Yes To Carrots range would be perfect for me.
The Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream comes in a bottle with a pump. This is my favourite type of packaging when it comes to moisturisers as its hygienic and easy to travel with. This moisturiser is designed to be used in the morning to nourish your skin throughout the entire day. The first time I used this moisturiser was the day after catching a flight back home. Like most people, my skin gets very dry during flights so I was interested to find out how it would fare when my skin is pretty much at its driest.
…And I was so impressed! I applied this cream in the morning and by the afternoon/evening, my skin was already feeling so much softer – and that’s after just one application! The formula itself is relatively light and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy. It does however take a few minutes to completely absorb in to my skin – which I am fine with as it is quite a rich moisturiser after all! Although the product is slightly scented, I haven’t experienced any breakouts or sensitivity in my skin at all. I have also found that this makes a great base before applying makeup, provided that you apply this at least a few minutes before applying your foundation.
I would highly recommend checking out the Yes To range if you haven’t already, and I look forward to trying out more products from the range myself. I believe that the Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream deserves so much more recognition online as it really is one of my the best drugstore moisturisers I have come across!
