TANYA BURR HOLLYWOOD PALETTE | REVIEW

Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette

Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you might have realised that I’m a sucker for a good old gold eyeshadow! And when Tanya Burr launched her eyeshadow palettes back in August last year, I knew I had to get my hands on the ‘Hollywood Palette’! Unfortunately, the Tanya Burr Hollywood palette has been sold out pretty much everywhere for the last few months.  So as soon as I spotted it in Superdrug last month, I couldn’t believe my luck and I picked it up right away!

Tanya Burr released three eyeshadow palettes as part of her cosmetics range last year – the Galaxy palette, the Fairytale palette and of course, the Hollywood palette. What drew me to the Hollywood palette above the other two is the gorgeous combination of neutral and gold eyeshadow shades. These are the shades I tend to reach for on most days (and nights!) so I thought this would be the perfect one to try out.

The Hollywood palette contains four beautiful shades; Nude Delight – a matte nude-cream shade, Gold Coin – a shimmery light golden shade, Enchantment – a shimmery bronze shade with chunks of gold glitter, and Bookworm – a matte warm-toned brown, perfect for blending into the crease.  The four shades in this palette look quite similar to those in the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette, which has been on my wishlist for quite some time now!

I love how Tanya’s given the eyeshadow shades really cute names – I feel this makes the palette so much more fun to use!  In addition to this, all four shades are very pigmented and blend like a dream, making the application of these eyeshadows very easy. They are also shades which look gorgeous both during the day and at night.  I love wearing Gold Coin all over my eyelid, applying Enchantment on the outer half of my lid, blending Bookworm into my crease and finally adding Nude Delight to the inner corner of my eyes to brighten things up.

I have been so impressed by this palette, especially for the price of £6.99, and look forward to trying out more products from Tanya’s range.  I’ve currently got my eye on the Fairy Godmother nail polish and the individual false lashes!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics is available from Feel Unique with worldwide delivery.
