Although I love lighting up scented candles all year round, there’s something particularly comforting about lighting up a few scented candles around the house at this time of year. They are such an easy way of creating a relaxing environment ideal for winding down after a hard day at work.
I was recently contacted by Karen Davey who kindly sent over one of her handmade candles for me to try out and I was so impressed by the quality I had to share it on my blog.
Karen Davey produces a diverse range of handmade products for the home. These include really quirky cushions (I particularly love this beach hut print), statement lampshades, bunting and of course – scented candles!
I was kindly sent the Seaweed and Juniper scented candle to try out – and I instantly fell in love with the unique scent of this candle! The candle contains an interesting selection of ingredients such as juniper, rosemary, tea tree, pine, jasmine and geranium. Upon opening the tin, I could immediately smell the rosemary, which I absolutely loved! Rosemary is actually one of my favourite herbs to cook with, and I hadn’t ever come across a candle with a rosemary scent. I could also detect the juniper and tea tree, which made for a super fresh scent. This is the perfect kind of scent for burning in a kitchen/dining area!
All the Karen Davey scented candles are handmade in Cornwall using eco soy way and come in a tin with a 12-hour burn time, or a larger glass jar with a 20-hour burn time. You can take a look at the whole range here.
What’s your go-to brand for scented candles?
