Throughout the month of February I made some beauty discoveries which I have really come to love – as well as some old beauty favourites which I re-discovered my love for! Today I’ll be putting all the products I’ve been enjoying together for my February Favourites 2016!
PS – If you prefer, you can watch my recent February Favourites video here.
1. Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream
I had read so many great reviews of the Yes To range, and couldn’t help picking this up last month when I came across the range in Boots. And it definitely lived up to all my expectations! I noticed a difference in my skin after just one application, and that’s not something I can say for most skincare products I have tried. The Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream is made out of 95% natural ingredients and has left my skin feeling so soft and conditioned – my skin hasn’t felt this good in a long time! I look forward to trying out many more products from the Yes To range.
2. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant
I’ve spoken about this product before and I couldn’t resist mentioning it again as it’s just so so good. I always suffer from dry lips at this time of year, and this is pretty much the only product which helps to condition my lips fast! I normally apply some product on my lips before going to bed and let it work its magic throughout the night. I’ve only seen this available at airports, however it also comes in the form of a lipstick, available from Boots.
3. Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencil in ‘Keep It Classy’
This is another one of those products which I had been meaning to try out for ages – and I’m so glad I picked one up! The Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencils have been raved about ever since they made an appearance last year, and for good reason too. At first, I expected this to be long lasting but quite drying on the lips, much like most other lip pencil products I tried. However I was very pleasantly surprised when I discovered that this is actually so creamy and even hydrating on the lips! ‘Keep It Classy’ is a gorgeous berry shade and I would highly recommend checking it out. You can se what it looks like on me here.
4. Sleek Vintage Romance Palette
I have owned this Sleek palette for a few years now, however it somehow got lost at the bottom of my makeup stash. Re-discovered this palette last month reminded me what great quality Sleek eyeshadow palettes are, and that you don’t have to invest in a high-end brand for good quality eyeshadows. The Sleek Vintage Romance palette includes a gorgeous selection of golden, bronze, and purple eyeshadows as well as a beautiful warm brown shade, perfect for blending in the crease. The quality of Sleek eyeshadow is pretty much up there with MAC, but each palette cost just £7.99!
5. Sanctuary Spa Cocooning Body Butter
I previously tried out the Sanctuary Spa Comforting Night Butter and loved absolutely everything about it. So when my boyfriend treated me to some Sanctuary Spa products in February, including the Cocooning Body Butter, I was so excited! Just like all over Sanctuary Spa products that I’ve tried, this product lived up to all my expectations – it smells amazing, absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves my skin feeling super soft. I love applying this before getting into bed as it means I wake up smelling delicious!
6. KIKO Nail Polish in ‘338 Light Lavender’
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you might recognise this particular nail polish from quite a few of my previous posts, including my huge KIKO haul and top 5 KIKO nail polishes. This pastel blue-lilac shade is probably one most people would associate with spring/summer, however I found myself reaching for it quite frequently this winter. It adds a gorgeous pop of colour to any dull winter outfit – who says pastels are just for spring!?
7. Garnier Micellar Extra-Gentle Cleansing Wipes
I wasn’t sure whether I should include makeup wipes in my Favourites this month, however there’s no denying that I have been absolutely loving these wipes throughout February – especially on lazy days! What differentiates the Garnier Micellar Extra-Gentle Cleansing Wipes from other makeup wipes is that they are soaked with the much-loved Garnier Micellar Water. This means that they remove your makeup so easily – without the need for excess rubbing – and they are fantastic for sensitive skin! In addition to this, the wipes are quite thick and contain silk fibres, making them really soft and just lovely to use!
