The first month of 2016 is officially over – and I can’t believe it! January has been a pretty good month for me, blog-wise. Since upgrading to a new camera in December I’ve been feeling so inspired to work on my blog and as a result, I posted a record number of 23 blog posts last month, hooray! Beauty-wise I’ve made some old rediscoveries which I’ve been loving and using non-stop. Welcome to my January Favourites 2016!
1. Lush Mask of Magnaminty
This will come as no surprise to you if you’ve been following my blog for the last few months! I’ve tried various different face masks from different brands over the last few years, however the Mask of Magnaminty from Lush has to be one of my all-time favourites. Not only is it an amazing minty green colour, but it’s incredibly refreshing on the skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and thoroughly cleansed. It also doesn’t cause any stinging or burning on my skin, which can be quite sensitive. Check out my full review.
2. Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter
I recently featured The Righteous Butter in my Best of: Soap and Glory post earlier this week. This was one of the first ever body butters which I tried from Soap and Glory, and I’m so glad to have re-discovered it earlier this month! Not only does it leave your skin smelling amazing, but it contains lots of skin-loving ingredients such as shea butter and aloe vera to condition your skin and get rid of any dryness throughout the colder months.
3. Urban Decay Naked Palette
The original Naked palette from Urban Decay is hands-down my favourite palette out of the entire range of Naked palettes. I find the shades in this palette are so versatile and allow you to create pretty much any look – from a pretty natural, daytime look to a heavier, smokey evening look. Looking for more inspiration? Check out my recent post where I created four different looks using the Naked palette.
4. Olivia Burton Watch
I picked up this gorgeous cream and rose gold watch from Olivia Burton in April last year, and I’m still as in love with it now as I was when I first set my eyes on it (I realise this is starting to sound slightly too romantic!). The model I picked up is called ‘The Hackney’, and it comes in a range of different colours including a gorgeous black and gold one. The midi-sized dial would look perfect if you’ve got small wrists like mine. I’ve got a whole blog post dedicated to this watch (with more gorgeous close-up shots) here. I’d highly recommend checking out the range on the Olivia Burton website. Alternatively, the watches are also available on Topshop online.
5. Ray-Ban Sunglasses
Although it’s January and the sun hasn’t been shining ever-so-brightly, I’ve been reaching for my Ray-Ban sunglasses on most days. The Ray-Ban 4184’s have a brown gradient lens which blocks out just the right amount of sunlight for the winter months, and although my face is quite small they fit perfectly! You can see what they look like on me here. If you fancy winning a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses yourself, enter my giveaway by clicking here (ends tomorrow 05/02/2016).
