THE ULTIMATE PAMPER NIGHT ON A BUDGET

Pamper Night on a Budget

Pamper Night on a Budget

I love a good pamper night and try to make time for a good pamper session at least once a week.  It’s  so important to take time to do nice things for ourselves and a great way to unwind after a stressful day.  Although booking yourself into a spa is a great way of treating yourself, you can easily have a great pamper session from the comfort of your home.

Essential 1: A relaxing face mask

My number one essential for having a pamper night is a face mask!  One of my favourite face masks is the Lush Mask of Magnaminty – review here.  This 125g tub costs £5.75 and lasts for ages absolutely ages.  I normally get around 30 uses out of each one!  Unlike Lush’s other face masks, the Mask of Magnaminty is available in a self-preserving formula which you do not need to store in the fridge, and lasts a lot longer.  This face mask feels so cooling on the skin, reduces any redness and leaves my skin feeling really soft!

Essential 2: A gorgeously scented candle

Scented candles are a relatively cheap and easy way of creating a relaxing atmosphere.  I love the Lily-Flame candles, and the ‘Smile’ candle pictured above has a delicious, uplifting scent which leaves the room smelling like fresh raspberries.  Admittedly, this is more of a summery scent, however there’s nothing wrong with spreading a little sunshine around during the colder months too! Primark also do some amazing scented candles if you’re looking for a cheaper option.

Essential 3: A Lush bath bomb

Whenever I think ‘pamper night’ I automatically think ‘LUSH’!  Popping a Lush bath bomb in the bath can really help to improve my mood on a bad day.  I just find the whole process of picking a bath bomb, popping it into the bath, and watching it fizz away while turning the water a pretty colour so calming!  One of my favourite bath bombs is the Frozen bath bomb – review & demo here.  This contains grapefruit oil, rose oil and neroli oil which together create an uplifting fresh, floral scent – and it turns the water a gorgeous shimmery blue colour!

Essential 4: A pair of fluffy socks

I wear fluffy socks pretty much everyday during the cold, winter months – however I believe that they are an absolute essential on a pamper night.  Nothing quite beats getting out of the bath and getting into your cosy PJs and fluffy socks.  I picked up these adorable fluffy unicorn slipper-sock-hybrid from Primark for around £3!

Essential 5: Glamour Magazine

I’m not a huge fan of gossip magazines and super-high fashion magazines (although I probably shouldn’t admit this – whoops!).  However, Glamour magazine is a whole different story!  Glamour contains the perfect mix of beauty, fashion and lifestyle features as well as celebrity interviews.  It’s the only magazine which I look forward to buying every month as the content is so interesting and varied.  It’s a great, relaxing read for the ultimate pamper night!
