If you’re a regular reader of my blog you would probably have noticed that I’m a huge fan of Soap and Glory. I particularly love their bath and body products – they are affordable, work amazingly well and best of all, they smell delicious! My boyfriend treated me to the huge Soap and Glory gift set this Christmas, which I cannot wait to start working my way through! However, until then I have been trying out the Smoothie Star Body Buttercream to combat my dry winter skin.
The Smoothie Star scent from Soap and Glory is one of my all-time favourite scents. I currently use (and love) the shower gel and body milk from the same range – which I reviewed here. However, as it’s winter and my skin has been in need of some extra moisture, I decided to pick up the body butter from the range.
The Smoothie Star Body Buttercream is described as an “intensive 5-oil super nourishing formula” and contains some super nourishing ingredients including cocoa butter, almond oil, and coconut oil. As with the other products from the Smoothie Star range, this body butter has a sweet-foodie scent, described as a “pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla scent”. You can definitely smell the pistachio and almond a lot more in this than you can in the other products from the same range, which smell sweeter and more cookie-like. Although I do prefer the more cookie-like scent of the other products, I still find this one to be so comforting and perfect for using after a night-time bath, just before getting into bed – you are guaranteed to wake up smelling and feeling AMAZING!
Ultimately, I have found this body butter to live up to all my body butter related-expectations – it’s very moisturising and leaves my skin, particularly my legs, feeling suuuuper soft (to the extent that I have asked various family members to ‘feel how soft my legs are’). It’s a brilliant product, and I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for something that’s moisturising and leaves you smelling yummy!
