I love having lazy days at the weekend – snuggled up in my PJs and super soft Teddy Robe from Topshop (it is literally the softest thing I have ever owned and is currently on sale!). I don’t normally tend to wear any makeup on lazy days, however when I do I want something that is easy and won’t take much time.
For this makeup look I used just 6 products – and it only took 5 minutes to apply!
Step 1: Foundation
I started by applying my current go-to foundation, the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25Hr Nude Foundation – review here. This foundation provides a medium-full coverage, so it’s great for covering up any imperfections. I also find that this is very long lasting, so you don’t really need to powder over this unless you’ve got oily skin.
Step 2: Blush
I added a pop of colour to my cheeks using an old-favourite of mine, the ELF Baked Blush in ‘Rich Rose’ – review here. This blush also adds a subtle glow to the skin, so it acts like a highlighter and blush in one!
Step 3: Brows
In order to sculpt and set my brows in place as quickly and easily as possible, I decided to go for the Rimmel Brow This Way Eyebrow Gel. This helps to define the brows by filling in any gaps, and the gel formula is great for setting the brows into place – all in one quick, easy step!
Step 4: Eyes
When I think of ‘quick eyeshadow’, the first product that comes to mind is my KIKO Long Lasting Shadow Stick – review here. For this makeup look, I used the shade ’05 Rosy Brown’, which is a close dupe for the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in ’05 Misty Rock’. This shadow stick is so quick to apply as you just apply the shadow all over your eyelid, blend the edges out with your fingers and you’re good to go!
Step 5: Mascara
No makeup look is complete without a pop of mascara. The one I am currently using (and loving) is the Lancome Grandiose mascara – review here. This mascara adds lots of volume and length, and leaves you with the most lovely, fanned-out lashes.
Step 6: Lips
Lastly, I applied the MAC Lipstick in ‘Plumful’ – a gorgeous rose-plum shade. This lipstick is one of MAC’s ‘Lustre’ lipsticks, so it gives a sheer coverage. This makes it easy to pull off and quick to apply, as well as feeling very hydrating on the lips. An all-round winner in my books!
