BEST OF: TOPSHOP BEAUTY

I’ve mentioned Topshop Beauty products several times in my previous posts as well as on my YouTube channel.  Most of us obviously know Topshop best for their clothing items, however they do also have a pretty impressive range of makeup products, some of which even rival more high-end brands.  So, today I thought I would share my top 5 products from the Topshop Beauty collection.

1. Topshop Lipstick in ‘Innocent’

I’ve added a few Topshop lipsticks to my makeup collection throughout the last few years.  The lipstick pictured above, ‘Innocent’ is one of my favourites – it’s the perfect slightly blue-toned pink which suits my complexion quite nicely (unlike other blue-toned lipsticks!).  You can see what it looks like on me in this post.  Topshop also have a number of MAC dupes in their lipstick collection, such as ‘Brighton Rock‘ which is a close dupe for MAC Impassioned, and ‘Rio Rio‘, a good dupe for MAC Lady Danger.  These are priced at £8.

2. Topshop Nail Polish in ‘Aurora’ and ‘Blue on Blue’

Topshop have an impressive range of shades and finishes in their nail polish collection – one that is better than most drugstore brands, and the quality is great.  Two of my favourite shades are ‘Aurora’ – a magical bronze-blue shade, and ‘Blue on Blue’ – a duo-chrome blue shade.  ‘Aurora‘ always gets lots of attention whenever I wear it in any of my pictures on Instagram – you can see what it looks like on my nails here.  This is easily my favourite nail polish in my entire nail polish collection (and believe me, there are quite a few polishes in there!).  These cost £6.

3. Topshop Highlighter in ‘Horizon’

Due to having really fair skin, the Topshop highlighter in ‘Horizon’ is obviously too dark to be used to highlight my skin.  However, it is absolutely perfect for adding a bronze glow by dusting it to the high points of my face, where I would normally apply a matte bronzer.  This product also doubles up as a gorgeous gold eyeshadow, similar to MAC ‘Woodwinked’, as it’s incredibly pigmented.  Not bad for £10!

4. Topshop ‘The Concealer’ in ‘Light’

Topshop released this concealer as part of ‘The Face Collection’ back in 2014.  Although this is unfortunately only available in two shades – light and dark – its got an amazing formula.  Fortunately, the light shade is a perfect match for my skin (NW15 in MAC).  What I really love about this concealer is that it is creamy enough to be used to conceal dark under eye circles, yet it is pigmented enough to be used on blemishes.  This little bottle is priced at £10, however you only need to use a tiny amount of product, so it lasts for ages.

5. Topshop Smokey Eye Palette in ‘Subversive’

As with most drugstore eyeshadow palettes, I initially didn’t have high hopes for the quality of this one.  However, I was very pleasantly surprised.  The Smokey Eye Palette in ‘Subversive’, contains 4 gorgeously pigmented shades, perfect for creating both a natural daytime look as well as a darker, smokey eye.  I particularly like the light, champagne shade – which is similar to MAC’s ‘All The Glitters’ eyeshadow – and the black shade is great for lining the upper lashes.  This palette costs £12, and you can read a full review here.
