This month I’ve been spending considerably more time away from my laptop and quite some time in front of the TV watching some of my favourite Christmas films and TV shows!  Watching Christmas films each year really gets me into the Christmas spirit and I find myself almost ‘craving’ to re-watch some of my old favourites.  Panasonic have recently launched their new range of 4K TVs, which essentially offer 4x’s the resolution of a regular HD TV, so the quality is absolutely brilliant.  I think that investing in a high quality TV is a perfect treat for the family, especially at this time of year when so much time is spent snuggled up in front of the TV watching all-things festive!

So if you’re looking for some inspiration on what to watch this festive season, read on my find out what my top 5 Christmas films and TV shows are!

1. Love Actually
I cannot resist a good rom-com at any time of year (especially when it’s got Hugh Grant in it!) so I couldn’t possibly miss this one out of my top 5 Christmas films!  Love Actually has a number of  different story-lines all set around Christmas time.  It’s one of those films that’s funny, easy to watch and leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside!

2. The Holiday
The Holiday is another festive rom-com which features an amazing cast, including Cameron Diaz and Jude Law.  This film is about two women with guy-related problems who swap homes around Christmas time – and things take on a really good turn!  This is one film that I turn to when I need a little pick-me-up!

3. Arthur Christmas
I only discovered Arthur Christmas earlier this month, however it’s up there in my top 5 Christmas films of all time!  The film gives a modern twist to the way in which Father Christmas delivers all his presents on Christmas eve, and is so funny!  I’ll definitely be watching this one again before Christmas day.

4. How The Grinch Stole Christmas
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic Christmas film which I’ve enjoyed watching ever since it came out in 2000 (15 years ago!! This makes me feel SO old!).  I remember thinking this was the best Christmas film ever when I first watched it and I still think it’s an amazing film now – definitely one to watch if you haven’t already.

5. Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special
The Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special isn’t something that you would normally see on people’s top 5 things to watch at Christmas – however it’s a firm favourite of mine!  I watch this every single year on Christmas eve, and even though I know pretty much every line by heart, I still find this so funny.  Gavin & Stacey will always be one of my favourite comedy TV series and I would highly recommend watching it if you want to have a laugh!

What’s your favourite film or TV show to watch at Christmas?
