With less than 3 weeks left until Christmas day, I’m really pleased to say that I have already bought most of my Christmas presents!  This year I decided to be more organised with my Christmas shopping and it’s definitely paying off.  I’m really enjoying picking out the perfect gifts for my family and friends without having to rush around at the last minute.  Currys have recently compiled a list of the greatest gifts ever given, which even includes a $200,000 ticket to the moon!  However, even if you can’t quite afford to get your loved ones such an extravagant gift this Christmas, read on to find out my top tips for making your Christmas shopping stress-free.

  • Make a list & check it twice!

There’s nothing worse than getting to Christmas day then realising that you forgot to get one of your loved ones a present!  Making a list of everyone you need to buy a present for, no matter how small it may be, is the first step in getting organised with your Christmas shopping.  This makes things much clearer in your head too.

  • Think of potential presents for each person.

The next step is to think of what each person might potentially like to receive for Christmas – or even better, ask that person for what’s on their Christmas wishlist.  You could also find out what shops or brands that person likes and having a look at the Christmas gift sets available.  Most beauty brands do amazing gift sets at this time of year!

  • Set an early alarm!

I’ve always preferred physically getting myself down to the shops, as opposed to doing my Christmas shopping online.  The atmosphere as you wander around the shops and streets filled with decorations is amazing, and makes Christmas shopping a much more fun, festive experience!  However, in order to avoid the crowds, it’s always best to get there as early as possible – preferably as soon as the shops open – so that you can browse the shops calmly and make the most of the atmosphere.

  • DIY gifts!

If you simply can’t face going to shops and nothing takes your fancy online, why not try DIY?  A simple search for ‘DIY Christmas gifts’ or ‘Homemade Christmas gifts’ on Pinterest is sure to give you looads of inspiration!  I particularly like this ‘Christmas Cookies in a Jar‘ gift idea which is perfect for anyone who’s into their baking!
