The Boxing Day sales are now in full swing! Although there’s no doubt that I love browsing the sales online, there’s something I really enjoy about actually getting myself to the shops and hunting down the best bargains. One of my favourite shopping destinations around the UK is Birmingham. Home to one of the UK’s busiest shopping centres, the Bullring, the Birmingham is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a shopping break in the UK.
The Bullring contains over 160 different shops, making it any shopper’s paradise. Among the 160 shops at the Bullring, some of my favourite shops include Topshop, New Look (who do a really good sale!), H&M, River Island and Selfridge’s – who have recently started stocking NYX Cosmetics – something I’m rather excited about! There is also a Travelodge nearby, which is conveniently located just a few minutes walk away from the shopping centre. This is really handy for putting your heavy shopping bags back in your room before carrying on with your shopping!
In addition to this, the shopping centre offers a fantastic selection of cafes and restaurants. Some of my favourites include Jamie’s Italian, and Bill’s, who do an AMAZING breakfast (review here). If you’d rather have lunch somewhere else, I would highly recommend the Bella Italia on New Street nearby – their Pasta Marco Polo with duck and plum sauce is probably my all-time favourite dish (review here)!
Birmingham also offers plenty of museums and attractions, including Cadbury World and the National Sea Life Centre, which are on my bucket list for this coming year!
