KIKO is a brand that I’d pretty much overlooked – until this year.  The brand is known for producing affordable yet very high quality products, so I decided to purchase a few of their products on a trip to Italy last month.  You can check out all the products I picked up in this post.

One of the products I was most looking forward to trying out was the KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation, which Lily Pebbles has mentioned several times on her channel.

The KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation is described by KIKO as having a ‘pliable consistency’ and provides a medium-full coverage.  It also claims to hydrate your skin, helping to make it look smoother and feel softer.  In addition to all of this, KIKO also claim that this foundation is ‘ideal for all skin types’ – which is quite a strong claim to make!

I tend to prefer using more hydrating foundations during the autumn/winter as I find that my skin (like many others!) tends to get quite dry – so this sounded like the perfect foundation for me this winter.

Upon applying this foundation, the texture really does feel ‘pliable’ as it glides over the skin and blends out very easily – a little goes a long way with this product!  It pretty much feels like you are applying moisturiser, as it feels nice and light on the skin – whilst still providing decent coverage.  I also found that my skin has generally felt less dry since I have started using this.  And although this foundation is very hydrating, I still find that it lasts amazingly well on my skin after powdering my t-zone, and it still looks pretty good after a whole day at work!

The foundation does have a slight plastic-y smell upon application, however this does fade quite quickly, and it does not break me out even though I have quite sensitive skin – hooray!

The KIKO Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation is available in 20 shades, and costs £6.90.  I think this is amazing value considering the quality of this product and I would highly recommend trying this out if you suffer from dry skin!
