Lush Angels on Bare Skin

Lush Angels on Bare Skin

Lush are mostly known for their exciting and pretty amazing bath products.  However, earlier this year I decided to give some of their natural skincare products a go to find out what they’re like.

A few months ago I posted a review of the Lush Eau Roma Toner, which I was so impressed by.  Then, after reading various positive reviews, I decided to purchase the Angels on Bare Skin fresh cleanser, which I will be reviewing today.

Angels on Bare Skin is a fresh cleanser made using 100% natural ingredients.  The main ingredients include ground almonds, kaolin, lavender oil, rose absolute and chamomile blue oil.  Together, these help to cleanse, nourish, calm and brighten the skin. The cleanser is also topped with real lavender flowers, which I think is a really nice touch!  Interestingly, Lush claim that the ingredients contained in this cleanser were inspired by an old medieval skincare recipe!

The cleanser can be used by taking a pea sized amount of the cleanser in the palm of your hand, adding a little bit of water to it, and mixing it into a paste.  This causes the ground almonds to mix with the water to form almond milk, which has a softening and moisturising effect on the skin.  The paste is then massaged into the skin (I like to leave it on for a minute or so), before rinsing it off to reveal amazingly soft, cleansed skin.  It is especially perfect for sensitive skin as it is so soothing.

Although this does take slightly longer to use than other cleansers, I have been really enjoying using this.  It’s the perfect way to give your skin a little pamper session in the morning, or before going to bed.  As this contains lavender oil, and smells predominantly of lavender, I prefer using this in the evenings, followed by the Lush Eau Roma toner, as I find the scent so calming!  I find that it is also really gentle on my skin, and is suitably moisturising for this time of year, when my skin tends to get more dry.

As the cleanser is made from all-natural ingredients, it does have a use-by date, which is roughly around 3 months from the date of purchase.

I would highly recommend trying out Angels on Bare skin if you’re looking to pamper your skin!
