As you could probably tell from my previous posts, I’m quite excited for autumn. I’ve always preferred cooler weather to hot weather (unpopular opinion!), and can’t wait to bring out my super snuggly PJs and thick wintery jackets! However, autumn also brings with it more rainy days, and going out might not always seem like the best idea.
Read on to find out my top 5 things to do on a rainy day.
One of my absolute favourite things to do when it’s pouring outside is bake something yummy! Not only does this make the whole house smell amazing, but you’ll also have some delicious treats to eat afterwards! I have been really enjoying baking Tanya Burr’s chocolate cookies lately (they taste AH-MAAA-ZING!), and I can’t wait to try out some recipes from Cupcake Jemma’s YouTube channel.
2. Read a book.
As I’ve spent most of the last year working on my uni dissertation, I haven’t been reading as much as I’d have liked to. However, I’m now making up for lost time and am look forward to getting stuck into lots of (chicklit) books! In my opinion, there’s nothing more relaxing than getting lost in a book while hearing the rain outside. I’d love to know who your favourite authors are!
3. Do some online shopping.
Nothing quite beats some online retail therapy! I love browsing my favourite online shops, such as ASOS and Boohoo and letting some items slip into my basket. I’m loving dungarees and A-line skirts this season!
4. Have a bath.
One of my favourite ways to relax and unwind is undoubtedly by having a nice long bath, preferably a Lush one! Lush recently brought out lots of new products, and with their Christmas range also about to be launched (it’s already available at their Oxford Street store!) I can’t wait to try it all out! What’s your favourite Lush bath product?
5. Watch YouTube videos and read blogs.
YouTube has pretty much taken over me watching any TV in the last 3 years or so. I love getting into my comfy clothes after work, making a nice warm drink and catching up on all the videos in my subscription box. I recently decided to start my own YouTube channel too! You can check that out here.
