As I’ve mentioned a number of times in previous posts, I really enjoy applying a pampering face mask every so often. I find they help me to relax, as well as help improve the condition of my skin. I recently tried out the 7th Heaven Banana and Honey Masque. Read on to find out what I thought!
The 7th Heaven Banana and Honey Masque is packed with natural ingredients that are great for dry and combination skin. It promises to moisturise and brighten the skin, whilst fighting any blemishes. Firstly, the mask contains banana, which is full of vitamins and nutrients, helps to brighten the skin, and has anti-ageing properties. The mask also contains manuka honey, known for its antiseptic and moisturising properties, making it perfect for targeting any dry patches and blemishes simultaneously.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the packet is that it smelt quite strongly of bananas. If you like bananas then you will love this, however if you don’t then it might be hard to get past the smell. I found the smell to be ok – however, it’s definitely not my favourite 7th Heaven face mask scent. Once I got past the smell, I applied the mask to my face. The texture was unlike any other mask I had tried from the brand, as it felt like a thick, moisturising conditioner for the skin, which I liked.
After around 15-20 minutes, the mask dried and was ready to rinse off. This was much easier to remove than a clay mask, which I appreciated! Once it was all rinsed off, my skin was left feeling very soft and nourished.
I would recommend this face mask for those with dry skin who suffer from the occasional blemish. However, if you’re not a fan of bananas then perhaps you might prefer the 7th Heaven Brazilian Mud Fabric Masque.
The 7th Heaven Banana and Honey Masque is available for £1 from Boots.
