First of all, apologies for not posting for a while! People normally insert an excuse here explaining why they haven’t posted for a while, but the truth is I just haven’t felt inspired to write about anything in particular! Blogger’s block perhaps!?
In my last post, a MAHUSIVE beauty haul (clickety click), I mentioned that I purchased Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk (phew). After testing it for just under a month now I feel ready to share my love for this product with the rest of you!
Soap & Glory describe this product as a body MILK, however I would describe the texture of this as more of a body lotion as, rather than having the runny texture of a body milk, it’s quite thick, very similar to The Righteous Butter Body Lotion. (It’s even referred to as a body lotion on the Soap & Glory website!) I guess calling it a body milk does keep with the smoothie, foodie theme of the bottle though!
The product is packed with yummy, skin-nourishing ingredients: almond oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, yoghurt, oat, honey and shea butter. It’s described as having an “almond, oat and brown sugar” scent. However, I don’t think this description does it any justice as it smells absolutely phenomenal (big word for just describing a scent, huh?)! When my boyfriend first sniffed it he said the smell reminds him of white chocolate, and I would agree. It smells sickly sweet (in a GOOD way), like vanilla and crushed biscuits and reminds me slightly of Yankee Candle’s Christmas Cookie!
The product itself is not greasy at all, and sinks into the skin within a couple of minutes leaving the skin feeling gorgeously soft. Best of all, the smell lingers for a few hours (Warning: Sniffing your arm at random points throughout the day might very well happen.)
And finally, as with the rest of Soap & Glory’s products, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous – cute, girly and pink!
