I’m really excited to be writing this post as I have (finally) filled my first MAC quad palette with four colours which I absolutely love!
I am very much a neutrals girl with regards to eyeshadow, and MAC have *such* an amazing range of amazing quality eyeshadow colours. The eyeshadow refill pans cost £10 each, and the palette itself costs £6.50. Although quite pricey, you do really get what you pay for as all the eyeshadows are amazingly pigmented and great quality.
The four eyeshadows I chose for my palette are All That Glitters, Woodwinked (Top L-R), Charcoal Brown and Satin Taupe (Bottom L-R).
Here are some pretty close ups:
|All That Glitters, Woodwinked|
All That Glitters (Veluxe Pearl) is a gorgeous shimmery golden peachy beige. I love wearing this all over the lid during the day, with a matte brown in my crease and black liquid eyeliner.
Woodwinked (Veluxe Pearl) can be described as a shimmery warm, antique gold/bronze. It looks lovely worn alone, as it turns slightly darker when it is blended (such as in the crease) so gives the impression that you’re wearing two eyeshadow colours. It also looks lovely with All That Glitters on the inner half of the lid and Woodwinked on the outer half, and blended in the crease.
|Charcoal Brown, Satin Taupe|
Charcoal Brown (Matte) is a matte muted taupey brown shade, a great crease/contour colour (it compliments Satin Taupe really nicely), which is also a great colour to fill your eyebrows with if you’ve got darker/brown eyebrows.
Satin Taupe (Frost) is a gorgeous shimmery cool taupe colour with silver shimmer. This shade is well-known to compliment any eye colour really nicely. It’s a very easy-to-wear shade for both daytime and nighttime!
I think this palette is perfect for travelling as it’s the perfect size and it’s got all the colours I would use both during the day and at night. I’ll be publishing a blogpost with a number of eye makeup looks you can achieve with this palette very soon!
