Today I shall review one of the products which I have been using loads during the past month, and that is the Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser.
I had been on the hunt for a new cleanser for a while, as Soap & Glory changed the formulation of my much loved Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Cleansing Milk and I found that my skin has been breaking out in spots so badly since then! (I absolutely loved the old formulation – review here).
I had heard lots of positive things about Hot Cloth Cleansers, and having never previously tried one out I searched for an affordable one I could try to see whether they were right for me.
And this is where Superdrug’s Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser came in.
The cleanser costs £4.99 for 200ml, and comes with a muslin cloth – which I think is absolutely great value for money. It contains Vitamin E (a powerful antioxidant that helps shield the skin against environmental damage & premature skin ageing) and a skin conditioning multivitamin complex which contains Vitamins A, B, F and H! Phew – that’s a lot of vitamins! Finally, it also contains horse chestnut extract (oooer!) to help care for dry skin.
Now if you’ve read any of my previous blog posts you would know that my skin is actually normal/combination so I wasn’t 100% sure that this would be the right cleanser for me. However, after having read so many positive reviews for this cleanser I thought I would give it a try anyway.
And I’m so glad I did!
I have been using this cleanser every night to get rid of my makeup, or just to cleanse my face before I go to bed, and have been genuinely amazed by the results! The cleanser has a rather thick consistency and is mildly scented. It’s very hard to describe the scent though – I would say it is pleasant and reminds me of holidays on the beach. It’s not overpowering at all though, which I love.
After cleansing my face feels thoroughly cleansed and looks a lot more glow-y than it did before! I have also noticed a difference the next morning, as my skin still feels soft and looks radiant then! Most importantly, I have noticed my skin looks generally better – I don’t get spots as often as I previously did and even when I do, they are smaller and not as red! Hooray!
Would I re-purchase this product? 100% definitely!
I’ve also heard lots of great stuff about Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser, and I cannot wait to try that either!
Have you tried any of Superdrug’s own brand products? What is your favourite hot cloth cleanser?
