If you’ve been following my blog, you would know that I am a huge drugstore makeup fan. And you can’t get more drugstore, than a drugstore’s own make up brand!
Today I’ll be reviewing Boots’ very own 17 Solo Eyeshadow in ‘Statuesque’.
This is not the first Boots 17 Solo Eyeshadow I have purchased and I recently reviewed ‘Mardi Gras’ from the same collection, which you can read by clicking here. I was so impressed with the quality of that eyeshadow and could not wait to purchase another!
‘Statuesque’ had been on my wishlist for quite some time. It’s a gorgeous champagne/salmon pink shade with a golden shimmer that sometimes looks kinda silver. (The shimmer looks silver in the packaging but golden when applied to the skin.) Very pretty.
I have been using ‘Statuesque’ loads during the daytime, for a subtle shimmery look which compliments my green eyes really nicely. It’s very pigmented and very easy to blend (it’s hard to believe this is a drugstore brand!), so at just £3.89 it’s definitely great value for money!
I tried to capture what it looks like when swatched, however this proved to be quite a challenge! As you can probably see in the bottom picture, ‘Statuesque’ is pink with a gorgeous golden shimmer when it hits the light! It’s one of those colours which had me look into the mirror (consequently making me feel like the world’s vainest person) just to admire it’s pretty colour! The only other eyeshadow colour that has had this effect on me is MAC’s famous ‘Woodwinked’ eyeshadow.
I would definitely recommend Boots 17 Solo Eyeshadow to anyone looking for a great quality drugstore eyeshadow – there’s loads of other gorgeous shades in this range too!
